The Armani Group announced that Giorgio Armani will be awarded with the prestigious Bambi 2009 award for Creativity, after being honoured with one for Fashion in 1998.
The award, presented by Charlene Wittstock, will be received by Roberta Armani on his behalf.
Bambi, the most important media prize awarded by Hubert Burda Media, will take place for the 61st time on November 26th, 2009, in Berlin/Potsdam, Germany, and will be broadcast live on German TV channel ARD.

On the occasion of the ceremony, the following have chosen to wear Armani:

Roberta Armani will wear a Giorgio Armani strapless evening gown featuring a black velvet skirt, and a pleated bodice in grey silk.

Charlene Wittstock will wear a Giorgio Armani evening gown in navy blue silk cady featuring Swarovski crystal embroideries in jet colour on the straps and the bodice, and a jewel detail in nappa.

Shermine Sharivar will wear a black Giorgio Armani Privé velvet dress featuring a spiral motif, and blue metal mesh details embroidered with rhinestones.
